Things to know before we get started...

A few facts:
When I say I'm a mom, I mean that. I mean it so hard. I have 2 boys (the bookends) and 3 girls. My oldest was 17 when my youngest was born.
Yes, we knew what causes that. Yes, I have my hands full. Yes, they're all mine. Yes, they all have the same dad.
I married my first boyfriend. I graduated high school in June, and we got married in July.
My dad had to go to the courthouse with me to sign over permission for me to get married.
No, I was not pregnant. For once in my life, I was not pregnant.
I lost my husband in October 2021. He died the day before his 44th birthday. Our youngest was 11 days old.
We had 23 years of marriage together.
So, getting started early wasn't such a bad idea after all.
My big idea was to go back to school. I enrolled impulsively about 6 weeks after Jason passed.
I am hopefully in the homestretch of that pursuit.
I took some legal classes. I took some medical billing classes.
But my major is Integrated Marketing Communications.
I love to sew.
I'm learning to build.
Desperation must look an awful lot like strength to those outside looking in.
